Who's behind Honest Picks Hub and how we pay the bills.

Honest Picks Hub is a small, independent review team. We test consumer products and services across categories like personal finance, home energy, pet insurance, identity protection, and gaming, then write the kind of side-by-side comparison we wished existed when we were shopping.

We don't have a corporate parent. We don't accept paid placements, sponsored "best of" slots, or rewrite-the-review-for-money offers. We get pitched those weekly. We always say no.

Our content is funded by affiliate commissions. When you click a link in one of our reviews and end up buying or subscribing to something, we sometimes earn a small commission. The brand pays us, not you. That commission never changes which product wins a comparison, and it never changes the rating. We've published plenty of mixed and negative reviews of brands we have affiliate relationships with, because that's the whole point.

Our team is intentionally small. We refer to ourselves as "we" or "our team" rather than naming individuals because reviews should stand on their methodology, not personality. We do hands-on testing whenever feasible, talk to real customers when it isn't, and update reviews when something material changes about a product, a price, or a policy.
